SEVEN Spring Must Haves!
Spring has Sprung, in fact, Spring seems to have come and is headed out the back door. Have you felt how hot these past afternoons have become? Before Spring makes a complete exit stage left, I had to share a few of my personal must haves.
.Signature Scents- There's nothing better than a person that smells like a small piece of heaven. Are you like me and change your scents with the season? Now that spring is here, I like to reach for something light and airy. While everyone is flocking to Lennox mall to grab their bottles of Baccarat, I'll be politely skipping over my own to grab my favorite Bum Bum Creams and perfume by Sol Del Janeiro. I've been hooked on this particular scent for the last two years. It's the perfect blend of Spring and Summer!
The next time you're in Sephora, be sure to smell it for yourself.
Denim jacket- But you knew this already, right?! This ATL weather will have you so confused if you venture out for the day without something to "throw over your shoulders" as my grandmother would say. A trendy, lightweight denim jacket is a quick and easy piece that is guaranteed to carry you through those cold mornings and chilly nights. Most, importantly, the versatility of a denim jacket is perfect for any outfit. Don't leave home without yours or you'll freeze the next time you're having lunch inside your favorite restaurant!
Signature Drink- Iced Coffee- It's no secret, I'm a coffee lover. You may or may not find me in the Starbucks line with a ball cap and sunglasses going straight incognito indulging in my guilty pleasure- Grande' Caramel Ribbon Crunch- extra Drizzle, extra crunch! But GIRL! I can't be giving Starbucks all of my coins multiple times a day. One day a light bulb clicked and I decided to learn to make my own iced coffee drink at home. My favorite is still Starbuck's unsweetened blonde roast, paired with Duncan Donut's extra-EXTRA caramel creamer, and whipped cream. And don't forget your caramel drizzle throughout the glass and on top of your whipped cream! THAT FIRST SIP WILL HAVE YOU WONDERING WHY YOU DIDN'T THINK OF THIS IDEA SOONER.
Flavored water- For my non coffee drinkers, I've got you too! For a more refreshing, drink for the Spring I love the Coconut Pineapple flavored water by the Clear American brand from Walmart! Ya'll, about 10 years ago, I gave up my love for a cold Mountain Dew. It was tough, but this flavored water has stolen my heart. I get to indulge in this delicious ZERO calorie drink as often as choose! I'd definitely call this one a WIN!
Flats- Recently I've been reaching for a comfy pair of flats to complete my looks. Being a busy mom on the weekends, my life runs much quicker once I grab my favorite pair of dad sandals and go about my way. So.. these are a thing again! Back in the day, I would skip over these type sandals thinking they didn't fit the latest trend. Tuh! What was I thinking? Now I have a pair in different colors and styles. Mine are from Zara and Aldo. There are too many pairs of flats in my closet that have easily slipped into the number one spot for my choice in shoes.
White nail polish- If you know me, you know I will always choose a good french set any day! This classic can stand alone and outshine any bedazzled stiletto set. This spring, I've been dabbling in a simple ALL white set for my mani and pedi. My little piggies look so cute in any color sandals and effortlessly matches every outfit. Oh and girl...Does anyone else hate getting a mani and pedi? This is one maintenance item I will push out for as long as I can. I digress...
